Torro Utd started their annual tournament back in 2006 and it has been running from strength to strength ever since. They first started off with 16 teams and from that it grew to 32 teams in the years 2007, but the committee found that it was too much to handle so they downsized it back to a 24 team tournament.
Each year it is held in the last two weeks in June and the first week is usually the group stages, where each team gets a maximum of 5 games that week, fixtures generally run from the Monday night straight through to the Thursday night of that first week. The second week is generally the second round of the cup & quarter finals of the cup are held on the Monday night and on the Tuesday night the shield quarter finals and semi finals are held along with the semi finals of the cup. Finals day is always on the second Sunday of the Tournament and generally is a family day out where free Bouncing Castles and kids games are played before the Tournament finals.
